Sculpture, really really weird this time round

Yes this is gross, my project is at the end of the pictures, look for the card board.

My project is the big cardboard wall in the lobby, I was in fact making fun of the Tilted Arc sculpture by Richard Serra. His was steel, even more enormous and very sturdy. Mine was cardboard and so unstable that it feel down just as my crite was finishing, great timing.

I like your rendition of Tilted Arc... we actually used it as an example of poor siteing in my visual literacy course.

Speaking of Serra, I saw one of his works today, again it played with the idea of separation of space and fear.

It was two massive steel sheets propped (and I mean propped, definitely no attachments) in the corners of a room, forcing you to walk the narrow passage between them to pass through. The warning label at the entrance about "not touching the art because it is delicately balanced" only served to reinforce his concept. All in all, a far better Serra than Tilted Arc. Oh, btw, it was in the National Gallery.

Come and visit!

You are very welcome to stay on my couch anytime!

There's the War Museum (with the Beaverbrook Collection), the Museum of Civilization (with the maquette for the Black Canoe and other west coast native work), the National Gallery (with everything under the sun, Barnett Newman, Pollack, Picasso, Serra, Warhol and others.) It'd be a lot of fun!
