Something very peculiar happened on the street today.
Someone in a car who had decided to be a hooligan today threw an egg at me.
Now that in itself is very peculiar and distressing.
Yet I could only think of one thing afterward.
The miraculousness of the fact that the egg did not break when it hit me.

actually, this happened to me too, a few years ago on Halloween!
and yes, the egg only broke when it hit the ground.
giving the egg-thrower the benefit of the doubt, I assume they were aiming for the house I was next to
a drive-by egging, if you will
