For the last 4 weeks I have been working at the U of C computer camps. Officially I am the lunchtime supervisor (and get paid as such), but I have also been able to sit in on the classes, which has resulted in my unofficial role as a student teacher.
I've actually learned how to code simple video games and just a little bit about how to handle kids. Coding video games is very easy. Teaching kids (grade 5 through 9) how to code video games is much more difficult, unless they are genius children.
I don't think I am cut out to supervise kids as a career. I over stress that something will go wrong, however I am slightly to nice, quiet and patient to really set the kids straight.
It seems this summer has hit me with a variety of different experiences. It seems that I have just tried some different things and been forced to face somethings I had avoided before. It was probably foretold by a recent fortune cookie "that I will be face with new and exciting experiences."
Well one more day of kids and computers and we are off to Europe. I will be sure to post from there with stories galore. Depending on my technological constraints I will do my best to get some pictures up from Europe.

That sounds like an interesting job! I was in one of those courses at one point, but then I forgot it all. >_<
Wow, I didn't even know you were heading to Europe! Have a great time!
